Meet Trent Renner, a passionate spiritual leader and the creative mind behind The Heaven Project Book Set! With a wealth of experience as a Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Lead Pastor in churches of all sizes—from cozy gatherings of 20 to vibrant communities of 21,000—Trent has a unique gift for communicating and teaching the truth in a simple, relatable way. Leadership and Ministry Experience

Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV), Non-Profit — Peoria, AZ

Leadership Executive and Teaching Pastor. Serve, support, and lead with the Founder and Senior Pastor. Member of the Executive Leadership Team. Team preacher/communicator for a 25,000-person Church and approximately 300 staff and multiple campuses.

I served as the catalyst for the successful merger of the Church I founded, Parkway Christian Church, which was voted one of the top 7 most innovative Church facilities in the USA, with 3000 regular worshippers on a 43-acre campus. Thousands of decisions for Christ and changed lives.

Parkway Christian Church – Surprise, AZ 

Founding Pastor. Lead Visionary Communicator, Pastor, and fundraiser. Supervised, led, and developed multi-million-dollar budgets, recruiting and staff development at multiple levels of Church growth from 20 original members to 3000 in regular attendance, while purchasing and creating a 43-acre campus. Supervised ordained Pastors and strong leadership staff. Proven ability to create, drive, and advance a movement through multiple levels of growth. Personally, attained a one-million-dollar donation for Church facilities. Led our congregation through two 3-year capital campaigns with success.

Christ’s Church of Flagstaff, Flagstaff, AZ 1993-1996

Served as Youth Pastor. I began with three students, and by the end of my 3-year ministry tenure, we had grown to approximately 150 students from Junior High through High School in a church with about 900 in total attendance. This ministry was my first full-time ministry experience after college.

Practical Achievements and Experience: Trent Renner

Currently: Serving churches on an interim basis through weekend preaching, coaching, and preparing them for the next lead pastor. Helping Churches and their leadership boards build and grow through staff training, revising the church’s mission, vision, core values, and, if needed, their constitution/bylaws.

International Mission Travel leader. Led travel for groups to the Holy Land, Uganda, Africa, Peru, South America, and Mexico.

Chairman of the Board and Board member – Community and Recreation Department. City of Surprise, Arizona

Nominated and chosen by the Surprise, Arizona City Council, the 2011 Surprise Neighborhood Award Program (SNAP) winners for their exemplary contributions to the quality of life in Surprise.

Awarded by Worship Facilities Magazine, “The 7 Most Innovative Church Buildings in America.” March/April Edition 2008.

Awarded the Top 200 list of Largest Christian Churches in America.

1993, 1 of 5 men chosen as 1st Team All-American College Basketball Award. NBCAA Division 1, Manhattan Christian College, Manhattan, Kansas.

Invited and joined “The Pastors of Influence” group. Phoenix Arizona. (Group of extraordinary leaders in Phoenix, AZ. 25 Leaders/pastors of all denominations)

Trent also co-founded Return Hope International and works as a church coach and consultant, offering his expertise as an interim pastor through Interim Pastor Ministries. He thrives on motivating and inspiring people to spark lasting change in their churches, schools, and workplaces. Trent enjoys being a co-host on the Wyatt Matters radio and podcast show!

Growing up on a large farm in Oakley, Kansas, Trent has always valued hard work and community. He met his wonderful wife, Kelli, in 1990 and graduated from Manhattan Christian College, Manhattan, KS, in 1993. Together they have four amazing kids: Madison, Riley, Garrett, and Mia. Trent happily claims they are “the coolest people” he knows! Trent graduated in 2000 with a Master's Degree in theology and leadership from Hope International University, Fullerton, CA.
